"aeroplane or glider is propelled by the alternate lifting from and falling on to the machine of a weight. The weight may be raised by a machine, or the operator may form the weight and jump in order to relieve the machine of his weight."

From this description there is no power source as conventionally defined and it seems that the invention would not work, and was not proven by test. In a country with patent examiners, it would not have passed the test. Template:Patent registration note
