The place now known as the country of Vietnam was a colony of France at the time of early aero called Cochinechine (in French) or, in English, Cochinchina or Cochin China.

We use the ISO 3166 abbreviation for Vietnam, VN, for patents noted as being from Cochinchina, as if it were a distinct country at that time. The original patents give enough information to separate them out, and it is informative to do so.

Patents

Patents from Cochinechina were filed first in the French system, and in practice only by the European colonists for early aero.

This wiki has 0 Cochinchinese patents and 12 patents filed by Chochinchinese.
