Haw filed a number of patents related to propeller design in Europe between 1915 and 1919; here, in his (it seems) first American filing, he gives an unusually detailed list of his German, Austrian, and Hungarian patents, which are rolled together into this American version.

The core idea is that the propeller blades are formed of steel rods and interlocking cross-pieces, of wood or possibly synthetic material.
