This patent was found simply via registration date parameters 01/01-1880 - 01/01/1917 using "Vliegtuig"(airplane), in the title field. "Lucht" reminiscent of German "Luft" yields a lot of false positives.
Note "IPC or IDT classification: 62". Note also prompting link to Espacenet. This leads, in this case, to an error display.
Clicking on "62" within the Dutch registration page of this patent leads to other material of aero-value, such as Patent NL-1914-1232 and others. In this case, the date parameters seem to have been retained, while "IPC or IDT classification: 62" material was brought up, displayed by publication date, incidentally.
"IPC or IDT classification: 62" IS KEY. Or, that is, since IDT or IdT stands for "Indeling der Techniek"("Classification of Technology"), for our purposes NL 62 is the key national patent category or patent classification for patents filed in the Netherlands. As within parts of our own site, automated Espacenet prompts do not always bear fruit, and as with the Hungarian site, the bulk of the material on hand is of modern proprietary interest, with the overall system not immediately geared towards our interest in antique material.
Patent NL-1914-1232 is "Inrichting tot het gebruik van vernielingsmiddelen bij luchtvaartuigen", inferred "luchtvaartuigen"(aircraft plural) then bringing up a range of great material, from which IPC classifications are then inferred. Singular "luchtvaartuig" may be the key.
