from abstract: "Short, H. O. April 3, 1918. Aeroplanes; cars; planes, arrangement of; propelling.-Boats 1, 2 carrying the pilots &c. are rigidly fixed immediately below the plane 3, the boats being equidistant from the longitudinal axis. Tractors 6, 7 and a propeller 9 are driven by engines 4, 5, 8 located between the planes. The tail-plane and rudder may be carried either by a frame fixed to the wing structure and extending above and beyond the boats, or by the rear ends of the boats. Two, three, or more main planes may be used. Specification 3203/15 is mentioned."
