The organization was composed primarily of skilled mechanics who associated for the purpose of exchanging ideas in aeronautics. Monthly meetings were held. The association was constructing a biplane of the Curtiss type and club members were also building flying machines at 191 Front Street.
There were over 40 members at the beginning of 1912.
