Father José María Algué was a meteorologist in Manila and director of its Oficina Meteorológica. He published a number of papers and books, both in English and in Spanish.
He was an honorary member of the Royal Meteorological Society and published in that society's journal.[1]
He and Abbott Lawrence Rotch composed the American delegation to the 1906 International Meteorological Congress in Innsbruck, Austria.[2] It seems that he attended the 1900 International Meteorological Congress as well, since he is listed as having a contribution on cyclones in the resulting publication.
