This fair was the key public display, by Chemische Fabrik Griesheim-Elektron, of an Adler 75HP engine with a cast magnesium alloy crankcase. This alloy was the notable "Elektronmetall" first developed by Gustav Pistor and Wilhelm Moschel ("Elektron" later becoming a British-registered tradename for a range magnesium alloys manufactured by the British company, Magnesium Elektron Limited).
Also exhibiting was August Euler (1868–1957), owner of German pilot's licence No. 1, who manufactured Voisin biplanes under licence in Griesheim am Main. His Voisin biplanes, with Adler 50 hp engines, flew in October 1909.
