The Danske Aeronautiske Selskab or Danish Aeronautical Society was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 20 Jan. 1909, to study the general science of aeronautics and aviation. It was admitted to the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) at the FAI meeting 30 Sept. 1909. In 1926, the prefix Kongelige or Royal was added to the name of the society.
