Du vol des oiseaux: indication des sept lois du vol ramé et des huit lois du vol a voile (Of the flight of birds: indication of seven laws of flight by flapping and of eight laws of flight by soaring) was a book published by Ferdinand-Charles-Honoré-Philippe d'Esterno in 1864. This work was unique in distinguishing soaring from flapping flight.[1] It also touches on flying lizards and other aerodynamic creatures.
