Not in list of ACA affiliates 6 Flying 498 (July, 1917) but is listed in ACA Annual 1917, suggesting founding and ACA membership no earlier than 1917.
The intention to launch the club was officially announced on 23 August 1916, with General Robert K. Evans the first member. Aerial Age Weekly reported, "The club here will follow closely along the lines of the Aero Club of America, with which it will be affiliated."[1]
