Ross Franklin Moore was an aero inventor in the Royal Engineers. He modeled an aircraft after the flying fox. This aircraft is described and Patent GB-1895-6 and discussed in further detail in the October 1897 Aeronautical Journal,[1] and again in an address to the Aeronautical Society of Great Britain on 16 December 1897.[2] (Compares his aircraft to organism; cites Marey and Headley.)
