Николай Родионович Лобанов (Nikolai Rodionovich Lobanov) was a Russian inventor whose airplane-ski patents filed in the 1910s were granted by the Soviet office in the 1920s.

Ru.wp has a substantial biography of Lobanov.[1] It says that starting in 1904 he attended but Higher Moscow Technical School (WMTU) and N. E. Zhukovsky was an instructor. In 1912 Lobanov was "appointed head of the Moscow Aerodrome at the Moscow Aeronautics Society. Here he began to realize his bold design projects." (translation by DeepL) Among these were "snowplanes" which had skis for landing gear.

En.wp makes reference to Lobanov's aircraft, the Lobanov L-1, that he made while at the Moscow Technical School.[2]

His inventions are listed in ru.wp as: circular lubricated bearing (1911), airplane-ship "L-3" (1916), pulley-propeller (1916), auto-sledge (1910s), water ski-float (1926), log conveyor (late 1920s)
