Anatole Brissonet (20 April 1834 – 25 February 1900) was a vice president of the Société française de navigation aérienne and member of several other societies.[1]

He was born in Chauvigny, near Poitiers, in a prominent Revolutionary family. He traveled to Paris only to be imprisoned for his Republican opinions. After meeting Nadar he devoted his life to aeronautics, becoming secretary of the aeronautical society and creating a company in 1856 which made rubber balloons.[1]

He consulted with a M. Rampont in 1870, presumably during the Siege of Paris regarding communication balloons, and seven years later received a bronze medal from the Minister of War.[1]

He created and edited the journal Ballon.[1]
