Pearl I. Young. Octave Chanute, 1832–1910: The Contributions of an American Civil Engineer to the Improvement of Railroads, Railroad Bridges, Timber Preservation, and Aeronautics: A Bibliography. San Francisco, California: Edward L. Sterne, Aeronautical Bookseller, 1963. "First Edition: Limited to 255 copies of which 250 are for sale." Printed at the Dolores Press on Church Street in San Francisco.

Scan at HathiTrust.

See especially publications from 1890 (p. 12) onward – we could check this list against Brockett.

Incidentally, Chanute was still active in the area of timber preservation into the 1900s. However the majority of his publications deal with aeronautics. These continue through 1910 and include articles in French, German, and Italian.

A second list describes notebooks and diares related to Chanute – most of these are (or were in 1963) held at the John Crear library in Chicago.

Several pages of secondary sources before and after 1910.
