Suspension of the car plays a role in the weight distribution and therefore stability of the overall vessel.

Within aeronautics "suspension" most commonly refers to the system connecting the nacelle or car to a balloon in an LTA airship.

The same term can also refer to the system the landing/takeoff gear with the body of the aircraft–springs as shock absorbers, etc. Aircraft suspension technology in this sense overlaps with suspension systems for other kinds of vehicles, but potentially need to be more robust because of the unique problem of landing. See CPC B64C25/58 and its subcategories.
