Shellbeach Aerodrome was a flying grounds established in 1909 by the Aero Club of the United Kingdom at Shellness on the Isle of Sheppey, a small island near the coast of Kent. Here the aero club controlled 400 acres of ground for flying and landing, as well as facilities for housing and construction.[1]

J. T. C. Moore-Brabazon and C. S. Rolls were among the first to fly there.[2]

The Short Brothers quickly set up a large workshop which expanded into the first unused hangars on the grounds.[1]
