Oskar Ursinus was a German “Private Engineer”, living in Frankfurt[1], known in Hungary as Ursinus Oszkár.

He was an active aero-theoretical writer, and editor, notably of Flugsport, which he founded in 1908.

Ursinus was drafted in World War I and assigned to Gothaer Waggonfabrik A. G., where he created the design for the Gotha bomber.[2]

The Library of Congress holds a collection of about 800 of Ursinus's photographs and drawings. About eighteen of these are visible online.[2]
