Pilot '''Oskar Dudić''' was born in Prague, grew up in Vienna and then went to Hungary where he graduated from a military school. He and his mechanic M. Hohn took off to fly in a parade of military forces on July 10, 1913, near Sarajevo. They noticed an engine problem and attempted to return to the departure location in Butmir. They were unable to, and crashed. Dudic died the following day in hospital. Hohn survived. Pilot Oskar Dudić was born in Prague, grew up in Vienna and then went to Hungary where he graduated from a military school. He and his mechanic M. Hohn took off to fly in a parade of military forces on July 10, 1913, near Sarajevo. They noticed an engine problem and attempted to return to the departure location in Butmir. They were unable to, and crashed. Dudic died the following day in hospital. Hohn survived. A monument to Dudić was set up in 1914 in Otes near Sarajevo, and remade and reopened in 2019.[1]
