Captain E. W. Wakefield operated passenger carrying service, initially using two biplane seaplanes built for him by Avro, then using a seaplane he designed and built, 1912, and a hydro-monoplane designed by Gnosspelius, that he built in 1912. Taken over 1914 by Northern Aircraft Co. (NAC).
SD dates the Lakes Hydro-monoplane as 1913. Gunston dates the Gnosspelius-designed monoplane on 13 February 1912. Lakes appears to have built only one monoplane.
