Frithiof Gustaf Ericson

Frithiof Gustaf Ericson was an aero inventor. He became chief engineer at Curtiss Aeroplane & Motors Limited, which was the Canadian branch of the company.

  • Ericson came originally from Sweden.
  • "Ericson was Swedish by birth and was associated with Tom Benoist and the Jannus brothers before joining Curtiss in Toronto." He was appointed chief engineer in 1915.[1]

Ericson was named in Curtiss Aeroplane & Motor Corporation v. United Aircraft Engineering Corporation as the buyer of a set of JN-4 Curtiss aircraft purchased from the Canadian government after the war, then resold, triggering a lawsuit from the American Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Corporation.[2]
