The dirigeable mixte Malécot (Malécot's hybrid airship; sometimes called simply Malécot) was, at least in theory, an airplane with enough LTA balloon connected to achieve midair equilibrium without forward propulsion.

Connected with Patent FR-1904-342610, filed by Société Malécot & Cie, and Patent US-1908-897000, filed by Malécot personally.

Date of construction inferred as 1907, as first trials occurred in September 1907; but note patent secured in 1904.

Malécot deflated the balloon in November 1907 with plans for new trials in the spring.[1]
