D. Napier and Son was a famous engine firm produced aircraft during WWI, possibly as subcontractor to other aircraft manufacturers.
Presumably this is the same as "Napier & Son Ltd" cited as a patents partner of Arthur John Rowledge, mainly after the early aero period.
