Key founder: Alliott Verdon Roe
A.V. Roe and Co. registered, 1910, became limited company 1913. Prototypes, 1912, said to include world's first cabin monoplane and cabin biplane. Type 500 tandem trainer biplane of 1912 led to Type 504, 1913, which became most important British trainer pre-1935.
By the time of Dir1920, Avro has agents in Argentina and Australia among many other places.
