August Ernst Grimmer was a Berlin inventor who coauthored patents about a an apparently minor invention -- a parachute attached in advance to an aviator's belt. He filed patents from Hotel Fürstenhof, Der Königgrätzerstrasse 124b, Berlin. His patent coauthor was Frederich Carl Mayer. Both were chefs according to their British patent.
