Antony Jannus

Antony "Tony" Jannus was an aviator and inventor (at minimum a co-inventor of the easy-release parachute described in Patent US-1913-1053182.)

Jannus was pilot of the first commercial passenger airline: the St. Petersburg–Tampa Airboat Line, which flew 22 miles across the Tampa Bay in Florida (fare: $5).[1]
