Alberto Roque Mascías

Alberto Roque Mascías was an engineer and aeronaut. He studied engineering in Paris then lived with his father in Asunción del Paraguay for four years, before returning to Argentina, where he was born. In Paris he was exposed to new developments in aeronautics and met Alberto Santos-Dumont. He was a pioneer of Argentine aeronautics and received brevet no. 9 from the Aero-Club Argentino. He became president of the Aero Club in 1915 and served through 1921, resigning the post after a re-election.[1]
