Aera was a French company founded in 1909 at 38, Rue du Louvre, Paris. It supplied not only aviation parts and accessories but also advice and research:

The company undertakes to make researchers on any question concerning aeronautics, and will supply descriptions, photographs, and designs of any previous machines. The company also undertakes designs and plans for the taking out of patents. It is also prepared to supply complete machines from the smallest model, which can be used in a room, up to full size planes of any pattern.[1]
