This British patent firm Abel & Imray was founded in 1871 by Charles Denton Abel and John Imray. Oliver Imray was also part of the firm. Abel, in particular, played a crucial role relative to organizations and study pertinent to 'The Patent Laws'. We have the firm located at Birkbeck Bank Chambers, London, W.C.[1] We also have this as “Bank Chambers, Southampton Buildings, London, W.C.”[2]

The firm had offices in the Holborn area of London, a firm which still operates under that name today.

Abel was an aero inventor himself as well as a patent attorney.
