  • Guy Vanthemsche, "The Birth of Commercial Air Transport in Belgium (1919-1923)", Revue belge de Philologie et d'Histoire, Année 2000 78-3-4 pp. 913-944.

This article is most relevant to us because of a few pages of introductory material describing "The Origins of Aviation in Belgium (1908–1918)".

It also refers us to a source which may have much more information on Belgian aeronautics. That is, the "Belgian Aviation History Association" est. 1996. (Yes in English.) Vanthemsche gives a URL which no longer works. Their website has moved several times (with older versions still available at Internet Archive).

  • https://www.belgian-wings.be is apparently a successor website but doesn't at first glance have the monographs on Belgian aero history described by Vanthemsche
  • An older version of the site which comes up when you look for BAHA seems to have more information and would be a good place to continue looking for Belgian aero history.
