Experimentally: Let's mark as "Untested" those patents which seem to propose an invention that couldn't have been successfully tested. It looks to us nonviable at the time, and perhaps permanently nonviable, or we have some specific reason to think it wasn't tested. Such a patent is of lower quality than patents of tested inventions, and we can track that information.
"Untested" is an attribute of an invention or patent, not exactly a techtype which would be a technology category . . . but as a keyword it should still work.
