Describes plan of "a German engineer named Leps" to create a guided Zeppelin railroad for passengers. The company envisioned lines from Berlin to Hamburg, or perhaps across the English Channel, or perhaps from Berlin to Vladivostock, supplanting the Siberian railway. Although Scientific American chose to feature this concept on the cover, they opine at the end of the article that "the problem is hardly likely to engage serious attention, for it snot likely that this fanciful road will ever be constructed."
