It is key to patent filing, per se, and we are determining its specific corporate relation to Luftfahrtzeugbau Gessellschaft Ing. Edmund Rumpler, to Rumpler-Werke G.m.b.H. in Berlin-Johannisthal, E. Rumpler Luftfahrzeugbau G.m.b.H. and so forth.)
Consolidation to Luftfahrtzeugbau Gessellschaft Ing. Edmund Rumpler may occur.
It seems possible that Rumpler-Werke G.m.b.H. simply changed its status in 1917 or 1918, as all of the patents filed in 1918 use the A.G. form and all the 1916 and 1917 patents G.m.b.H. In a 1920 publication of patents granted we see a slew of Rumpler-Werke filings under both names, varying as expected with filing date, and further suggesting that these two names represent effectively the same company.[1]
