"A notable instance of the stimulus given by the second Gordon-Bennett Race to aeronautics in this country, is the recent organization of The Aero Club of New England which was founded Nov. 21, 1907, on the 124th anniversary of the first ascension of man in a balloon. The roster of the new club includes the names of many of the most prominent business and professional men."

The officers are named and long lists of incorporators and directors follow.
