Proceedings of the Royal Society of London began publication in 1831 as a way of circulating papers read at meetings among the Royal Society's fellows.[1]
In lieu of an organized archive of the Proceedings, here is a sample search of the Internet Archive to guide the researcher.
Note: An earlier but possibly also contemporary publication of the Royal Society is called Philosophical Transactions.
