Pierre Pons
Pierre Pons was an aero inventor whom earliest patent data has filing from within département Seine. France.[1] The initial work features an aircraft which titularly uses the phrase "aéroplane triplan", but its fixed "median" plane is the one central lift surface of the vehicle, with side planes which oscillate. Therefore the aircraft doesn't evoke what we usually think of as a triple. The oscillating planes primarily serve in the interests of balance. It is really something of a monoplane with hybrid elements leaning towards the ornithopter.
Slightly later we have him filing in collaboration with René Algrin, the patent still associated with Seine.[2]
Slightly later still we have him filing from Pietralba, département Corse (Corsica), filing in collaboration with Pierre Hirigoyen.[3] This person had 0 publications and 5 patents in this database.
