Pierre-Jean-René Postel-Vinay
Pierre Jean Rene Postel-Vinay was a French aero inventor, with a hand in other mechanical applications as well. Presently, and upon further inquiry on Espacenet, though he was a Frenchman, addressed at 46 Boulevard de la Tour-Maubourg, Paris, Seine, France, we presently have only his American filings. He seems to have filed consistently as an inventor with reference made to his being an "assignor" to the firm Moteurs Salmson "(Système Canton-Unne), of Billancourt, France". It would be peculiar if he in fact registered no French patents. There are economists with this last name and perhaps they are related(?).
This Postel-Vinay was moderately prolific within aero along with a comparable amount of registered activity in other fields.
