This elastic nave construction allows a rigid shaft of the kind used in turbines and turbo-compressors to have multiple attached wheels. (paraphrasing paragraph 2 of the spec.)
Not sure of relevance here, but could have been applied to in landing gear. The reference to gas turbines suggests relevant to LTA craft but it doesn't seem to be relevant there.
Leblanc was a major inventor, I believe.
- Inventor location: 45 Rue de l'Arcade, Paris
- Tech class CPC B64C27/35: Rotors having elastomeric joints
- The company: Société Anonyme pour l'exploitation des procédés Westinghouse-Leblanc, of Paris. We are currently looking into the nuances of the international complex around Westinghouse, whether the constituent firms owned patents in common. We are documenting instances of operational continuity between particular entities within this complex. Corporate partnership with Leblanc is a phenomenon within all of this.
- Witnesses as shown on the final text page: Albert Delas Hanson C. Coxe ; Delas, possibly "Délas", could very possibly be a French patent agent ; there are patterns here, with Hanson C. Coxe factoring in quite prominently among witnesses on American patents, he, in particular, being paired with French patent agents, also among mere witnesses on American patents, but acting as agents on behalf of the same inventors when the later filed in France.
