"24,468. Short, L. O., and Short, H. L. Dec. 22. Wire-strainers.-A strainer coupling for wires comprises a main member 1 connected at one end to a wire 7, preferably by a screw coupling 6 having a security wire 8, and pivoted at the other end to a lever 9 of duplex or channel form. The lever engages the other wire to be coupled by means of an inclined slot 11 and serves to strain the wire until it engages in a slot 3 in the member 1. A spring catch 15 cooperates with a bail 17 to hold the lever in the closed position, and in this position the lever is also interlocked with the member 1, as by a pin-and-slot connexion 14, so as to share the strain with the member 1."
