A glider-like flying apparatus with a mechanism for "withdrawing the atmosphere from above a surface of resistance, mixing with the air of combusion employed for heating the boiler and forcing the mixture down below the said surface", this gets into compression, as such, pertinent elsewhere in his work, and theoretically explicated elsewhere.
