From a summary: "Various devices are described for promoting water-circulation and automatically regulating the supply of feed-water, for controlling the supply of fuel to the vapour burners in the furnace chamber, and in general for adjusting the various operations taking place in the boiler in such a way that the whole system may be automatically regulated by the varying pressure of the steam and water in the boiler aided by springs."
