Balloon with framework of wire or bamboo, covered in silk, and divided into compartments. From Brewer & Alexander: "A frame attached to the balloon carries a saddle, treadle mechanism, and a propeller, and the aeronaut is thus enabled to propel the balloon." Looks like Giffard's cigar-shaped dirigible with pointed ends.
