Patent FR-1912-424466.16588

This is a certificate of addition making explicit reference to its French parent patent, Patent FR-1910-424466, filed 1910-12-29, and to an Austrian patent filed 1911-09-03. This latter likely refers to an earlier Austrian patent we have designated as Patent AT-1909-12-31 Vigilio Baldo. There is a roughly analogous international pattern here, though the French semantic distinction between per se “brevet” and per se “certificat d'addition” seems to be unique. The French “certificat d'addition” always seems to be legally speaking, internationally, equal to a “patent”.

Balso's Austrian patents may be missing from Espacenet, but we are drilling into the data by French and British and perhaps other patents onhand.

French patent agent “J. Gillot” is quite likely a Joseph Gillot, barely as yet entering into our data.
