This patent makes reference to a brevet we would designate as Patent FR-1908-404631 and to an addition Patent FR-1909-404631.12136.

Regarding this patent's original title, as with the English "propeller", the French word "propulseur" only came to mean the rotating blade apparatus over time, that is in the French of France during the period on which we are focused, with the "hélice"("blade") coming to be implied. In Belgian French the "propulseur" came to be implied. Interestingly, perhaps, "hélice" has since become the international French standard for what we think of as the "propeller".
