Original patent is not on espacenet or readily found elsewhere on the web. The invention is described, and twelve figures reproduced, in González Redondo's 2008 paper linked below. This design is connected with Torres's exposition in Torres, 1902, Rapport sur un mémoire de M. Torres concernant un avant-projet de ballon dirigeable, présenté a l'académie dans la séance du 26 mai 1902. Commissaires: MM. Sarrau, Cailletet; Appell rapporteur.

Opposite to the usual cylindrical envelope, and with the objective of minimizing its stress and subsequent permeability, Torres Quevedo conceived a trilobed envelope with three longitudinal cables (ropes) placed in the intersection of every two lobes. Inside the envelope, and on the basis of those three cables, a longitudinal frame of triangular cross section was to be completed, made up of non-rigid ropes, permeable fabric, curtains, emtal cables and longerons. Longitudinal cables and frame would 'rigidify' altogether through the excess of pressure level of the gas, so that, when inflated, it would act as an internal rigid structure.

A short summary in Patent FR-1902-784, an addition filed later in 1902, suggests that the original patent had to do with maintaining a constant speed. (The addition corrects oscillation when the speed was changed.) The addition also refers to a page 30 of the original patent!

According to the Bulletin des lois de la République franc̜aise (linked below) Torres was represented by "Dumont", Paris, boul. Poissonière, no. 21. This is the address of Armengaud aîné, who is listed as the agent in the addition. "Dumont" could be another agent in the same office — or a mistake — or another name for/of Armengaud — or the address could be a mistake.

This is possibly a G. Dumont French patent agent we have elsewhere.
