Patent DK-1909-14560 original document official text heading

Interestingly, this patent original contains "Afhængighedspatent (til Patent Nr. 8795) udstedt den 4. Maj 1911", that is "Addiction (certainly addition though this oddity comes up in multiple translation sites) Patent (to Patient No. 8795) issued May 4, 1911". Espacenet does in fact offer a Danish aero-patent 8795, which we would designate as Patent DK-1905-8795. The odd thing is that the inventor of said patent is a Mechanic named Jacob Christian Hansen-Ellehammer. This is quite odd, in that the referential phraseology is quite specifically that of patent addition, within one nation's system, as opposed to international, having to do with "priority date" and so forth.

At first glance, the dates don't quite match. This Patent DK-1909-14560 is a fine analogue to Patent GB-1909-2111. Aside from date peculiarities, within the Danish system with which we are not entirely familiar, we are looking into the possibility that the Danish office made Henry Calder Lobnitz give some credit to Jacob Christian Hansen-Ellehammer. We aren't sure whether or not this "addition" phraseology would be odd, in this context, within the Danish system.

Our "supplementary to" is taking all of this tentatively into account. Patent DK-1905-8795 is not only solidly aero, but it looks to have something to do with airplane control via manipulable surfaces.
