- Cuban Boletín oficial del registro de la propiedad industrial as accessed via Hathitrust, clicking on Full view 1910-11 AG-JA, and using searchterm "aérea". Note, this patent and one listed with it are odd cases, for our purposes. This Cuban publication features, among other things, Cuban documentation of patents registered in Switzerland. It is with with reference to said office that the filing date 1909-10-30 is given. These numbers, 8469 and 8470, when cross-referenced with CH on Espacenet, yield entirely different results. We are treating these numbers, therefore, as being Cuban, though we have the apparently Swiss filing date on display. Oddly, though we do find Louis Blériot aero-filings on Espacenet at around this time, the techonology of the inventions seems to be different, though inter-linguistic phraseological judgement calls are always at play. More specifically, we find no reference to the filing date 1909-10-30. There may or may not be some very particular Cuban-Swiss inter-office arrangement here.
