Patent BE-1908-Bot-Lallemand

From Inventing aviation
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Based on French and British filings in the same family, this patent is for a hybrid aircraft comprising a large curved metal plane, with a fabric envelope containing hydrogen gas on its upper site. A chimney or tube runs vertically through the middle and a ballonet is used to stabilize gas pressure within the envelope.

The inventors were located in Lille and Lunéville—not all that close together, but in northeastern France, with Lille, especially, close to Belgium.
