« L’appareil peut s’adapter à deux usages : « 1. Comme aéroplane, étant placé verticalement, c’est-à-dire les hélices en haut et le moteur en bas, à l’extrémité des tubes de l’établi ; « 2. L’appareil se place horizontalement au-dessous d’un plan ordinaire, sphérique ou autre, et ainsi le rend dirigeable, celui-ci étant équilibré au même poids que l’air. »

“The device can be adapted to two uses: “1. As an aeroplane, being placed vertically, that is to say, the propellers up and the engine down, at the end of the tubes of the workbench (primary frame of the aircraft); “2. The apparatus is placed horizontally below an ordinary plane, spherical or otherwise, and thus makes it dirigible, the latter being balanced at the same weight as the air.”
