Léon Barthou

Léon Barthou was an active member of the Aéro-Club de France and the brother of minister Louis Barthou.
He won the Coupe d'Arlande in 1909 with a 615km balloon flight with Henry de La Vaulx in Au Fil du Vent. (The flight ended with an accident in which La Vaulx was injured.[1]
He was vice-president of the Commission aérienne mixte, to which he was delegated by the Aéro-Club de France.[2]
He was president of the Touring Club of France, Committee of Aerial Tourism.
